The Arni Magnusson Institute is is an academic research institute within the University of Iceland and the new building will hold both teaching and research facilities as well as an exhibition of the medieval manuscripts. The building is in three storeys and has a very characteristic grassclad roofscape which is a modern interpretation of the old turf houses in Iceland.
